I would recommend not doing that though since it was apparently horrible.
I haven't played it and only know anything about it from hearsay but that could be one to look into. I would mention C&C4 since I hear they removed all base building from that because they suck and had no idea what they were doing and it's also supposedly a level up to win model which is bad. On land you need to have captured a landing area for them, in space they can just hyperspace in wherever. There is a limit to how much you can have at once, the others count as reinforcements which you can bring in at any time. You don't build units in battle, you only have the ones you brought in your fleet. Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War blends the crazy lore of Warhammer 40k with the classic RTS formula with great success. You create all your units here then when a battle begins you go into either the view for a space battle or land battle. Now this does have some base building while you managed your Empire/rebellion on the galaxy screen, you build factories or mines on planets and such.
There is the Dawn of war 2 series, the first one is very much base building but the second has a focus on more tactical combat instead.Ĭompany of heroes has got some base building but is still more focused on combat.
